Swara Bhasker takes a dig at Vivek Agnihotri for ‘accusing Muslim citizens on public platforms’ | Hindi Movie News

Swara Bhasker takes a cheeky dig at ‘The Kashmir Files’ director Vivek Agnihotri after he made some derogatory comments while responding to a tweet by a journalist who ‘fact-checked’ about ‘The Kashmir Files’. However, Vivek’s tweet raised quite a few eyebrows and one of them is Swara as she slammed the filmmaker for swearing against minorities in ‘public discourse’.
Swara and Vivek have always been on loggerheads because of their different socio-political views often countering each other’s opinions on social media. For those who don’t know, Vivek had approached Swara for an important role in ‘Buddha in a Traffic Jam’, but later Aanchal Dwivedi was roped in for the role.

The latest controversy started when ‘The Kashmir Files’ was announced the Best Film at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Awards, and a journalist wrote that the film didn’t win the real Dadasaheb Phalke, but another one that sounds similar.

Reacting to the claim, Vivek tweeted “Fact checking is the biggest extortion mafia today. Controlled by crazy, lunatic terror organisation.” He further added “I don’t hate fact-checkers, I hate when puncture repairers pretend to be fact checkers. Because you are nothing but just a jehadi pimp of India’s enemies & I know very well who is behind you. Every jihadi will have his day and your time is just around the corner”.

Later Swara slammed the director and tweeted “Vivek Agnihotri name-calling, swearing at, accusing Muslim citizens on public platforms simply because they are Muslim is a glaring example of how vile, poisoned, bigoted and majoritarian our public discourse has become in ‘New India’. Sickening”.

Meanwhile, Vivek Agnihotri’s next film is ‘The Vaccine War’ based on the Covid-19 pandemic. He will also direct ‘The Delhi Files’ which completes his trilogy after ‘The Tashkent Files’ and ‘The Kashmir Files’.
